Judi Binderman, MD, MHSA, MBA

Dr. Binderman has more than 20 years in healthcare, beginning with a clinical practice in obstetrics/gynecology. During her years of clinical practice, she developed innovative programs in comprehensive care for OB/GYN patients, touching on many aspects of hospital operations including quality, revenue cycle, efficiency, risk and change management and patient satisfaction.

Dr. Binderman joined Siemens in 2005 and helped with internal product development of its major clinical products and played a major role in implementation projects focused on Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), Medication Safety and Clinical Documentation.

Dr. Binderman has become a seasoned Clinical IT consultant with an expertise in Clinical Systems Implementations, Workflow Process Redesign, CPOE, Physician Adoption, Change Management and Cultural Transformation. She is currently working with an IT consulting company.

Dr. Binderman received her M.D. from Texas A&M College of Medicine and her OB/GYN training at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. She completed a combined MHSA/ MBA from Arizona State University. She is actively pursuing a Masters in Medical Informatics.

Patricia A. Patterson, CPT

Ms. Patterson is a Certified Performance Technologist. For more than 25 years Pat has applied the systematic, research-based methodologies of Human Performance Technology (HPT) to improve how people learn to use information and technology to produce measurably superior results. After decades working with the Fortune 500 and NASA, her focus is now with the medical industry.

Pat's expertise includes helping clients focus on the end user--from concept through post-market. Her systematic and integrated performance-based training and labeling systems ensure reliability and a positive return on investment. In clinical trials, her performance-based methods have proven to accelerate competent, first-time performance, reduce errors, and earn high praise when compared to other training and labeling methods. The results are improved customer satisfaction and lower post-market support costs.

Pat is an industry member of the FDA's Home Health Care Committee focused on reducing the number of adverse events in this growing niche. She is also a contributing author to the user documentation/training chapter in ANSI/AAMI HE 75: Human Factors Design Guidelines for Medical Devices, currently being developed by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) for eventual adoption by the FDA.

Ron Paul, BSEE, MSEE, MSW

Mr. Paul has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare software including inpatient, outpatient, clinical trials, insurance, organ bank and call center environments. He has helped clients successfully pass FDA 21 CFR part 11 audits and has integrated diverse healthcare systems using a variety of standards including HL7 and CCOW. Mr. Paul has extensive experience in all aspects of software solution delivery including: Project Management, Technical Management, Requirement Analysis, System Architecture, Design, Coding, QA, Testing, Implementation and Support. He is able to bridge the communication gap that sometimes exists among clinical, administrative and technical personnel and implements risk management techniques in order to bring projects to a successful conclusion. Mr. Paul received his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and his Master of Social Work from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix. He is the author of more than 10 patents in the healthcare IT arena.

Lawrence A. Rheins, PhD

Dr. Rheins is currently Vice President of Science and Technology at Floratech International, a raw material supplier of botanical derived ingredients for the cosmetic and personal care industries. In 1996, he founded DermTech International and served as the company's CEO until 1999. Prior to founding DermTech, Dr. Rheins was Executive Director at Advanced Tissue Sciences, Technical Director at Hill Top Research and Manager of the Skin Care Laboratory at The Procter and Gamble Company. He is co-inventor of DermTech's proprietary Epidermal Genetic Information Retrieval technology and the author of over 50 articles and book chapters on immunology, toxicology, dermatology and in vitro alternatives. Dr. Rheins received his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and PhD (immunology) degrees from the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Histogen.

Lonnie Whittington

Mr. Whittington has more than 30 years of experience as a marketing and design professional. He is currently a consultant to high-tech firms, counseling them in the areas of strategic advertising, graphic design and web development.

Mr. Whittington founded several successful businesses, including Sandbox Entertainment Inc. in 1995. As one of three partners and the Creative Director, Mr. Whittington led the creation of Web entertainment and online games, which propelled Sandbox Entertainment forward as the early leader in online fantasy sports, games and simulations. Sandbox Entertainment raised over $30 million in venture capital and strategic partnerships were established with such companies as CNN/Sports Illustrated, Yahoo!, General Motors, Kodak, IBM and others, before the company merged with Wall St. Sports in 1999.

Prior to Sandbox Entertainment, Mr. Whittington founded TRACER Design in 1991, a pioneering interactive advertising agency. As the Creative Director, Mr. Whittington helped build and service a high tech client base including AT&T, IBM, Rockwell International, Motorola, and Intel. TRACER Design was a self-funded start-up and was profitable since inception before its acquisition in 1995.
